NYMEX Thursday Wrap: Crude sees mild gains; nat gas continues rise
HOUSTON, August 25, 2016 (PCW) — October NYMEX crude futures settled up $0.56/bbl to $47.33/bbl. October Brent at the close of the NYMEX increased $0.51/bbl to $49.68/bbl.
The October Brent/WTI spread narrowed to $2.35/bbl favoring Brent. Prompt natural gas futures were up 5 cents at $2.846/mmBtu. September NYMEX RBOB futures closed at $1.5114/gal, up 0.18 cpg.
US Gulf cash gasoline differentials were mixed versus Wednesday’s levels.
A2 CBOB 87 regular was weaker at 0.25 cpg over the screen.
CBOB 87 was softer at 2.50 cpg over the screen.
D2 CBOB 93 premium was stronger at 13.50 cpg over the screen.
CBOB 93 was higher at 16.50 cpg over the screen.
RBOB was lower at 5.25 cpg over the screen.
The 3-2-1 crack in the Gulf Coast was $14.39/bbl, $2.08/bbl under the screen. – John Troland
