NYMEX Monday Wrap: Crude opens week with slight losses; nat gas also lower
HOUSTON, August 29, 2016 (PCW) — October NYMEX crude futures settled down $0.66/bbl to $46.98/bbl. October Brent at the close of the NYMEX decreased $0.53/bbl to $49.31/bbl.
The October Brent/WTI spread widened to $2.40/bbl favoring Brent. Prompt natural gas futures were down 1.8 cents at $2.853/mmBtu. September NYMEX RBOB futures closed at $1.4669 pg, down 0.15 cpg.
US Gulf cash gasoline differentials were mostly weaker versus Friday’s levels.
A2 CBOB 87 regular was softer at 2.50 cpg under the screen.
CBOB 87 was weaker at 0.75 cpg over the screen.
D2 CBOB 93 premium was lower at 9.75 cpg over the screen.
CBOB 93 was down at 16.25 cpg over the screen.
RBOB was weaker at 0.75 cpg over the screen.
The 3-2-1 crack in the Gulf Coast was $12.47/bbl, $2.83/bbl under the screen. – John Troland
