M&L Plastics takes PET scrap bales at 11.65 cpp in Florida sale
HOUSTON, August 31, 2016 (PCW) -- M&L Plastics was the winning bidder for 13-16 truckloads (520,000-640,000 lbs) of curbside PET scrap bales at 11.65 cpp at the Solid Waste Authority of Palm Beach County, Florida's, September sale, the SWA said Wednesday.
SWA's monthly bale sales are price indicators for plastic scrap bale markets in the eastern US. At the same time, PET bales from curbside in Wisconsin, Indiana and Illinois were done Wednesday at 8.75-9.5 cpp FOB (10.5-11.5 cpp delivered).
M&L, based in San Marino, California, was also the winner bidder for three truckloads of mixed numbers 1-7 plastic scrap.
SWA other September bale sales were three truckloads of HDPE natural (dairy) to KW Plastics at 28 cpp; one truckload of large and oversized numbers 1-7 plastic scrap to KC International/Ekman at 6.25 cpp; and three truckloads of HDPE mixed-colors at 19.11 cpp to Plastic Revolutions.
