NYMEX Wednesday Wrap: Crude sees sharp decreases, nat gas rallies
HOUSTON, August 31, 2016 (PCW) — October NYMEX crude futures settled down $1.65/bbl to $44.70/bbl. October Brent at the close of the NYMEX decreased $1.33/bbl to $47.0/bbl.
The October Brent/WTI spread widened to $2.35/bbl favoring Brent. Prompt natural gas futures were up 6.0 cents at $2.887/mmBtu. September NYMEX RBOB futures closed at $1.4122/gal, down 3.61 cpg.
US Gulf cash gasoline differentials were mostly weaker versus Tuesday’s levels.
A2 CBOB 87 regular was higher at 6.00 cpg under the screen.
CBOB 87 was softer at 1.25 cpg under the screen.
D2 CBOB 93 premium was weaker at 5.50 cpg over the screen.
CBOB 93 was lower at 10.25 cpg over the screen.
RBOB was down at 5.25 cpg under the screen.
The 3-2-1 crack in the Gulf Coast was $10.81/bbl, $4.17/bbl under the screen. – John Troland
