NYMEX Wednesday Wrap: Crude climbs; nat gas, gasoline soften
HOUSTON, August 2 2017 (PCW) — September NYMEX crude futures settled up $0.43/bbl to $49.59/bbl. October Brent at the close of the NYMEX increased $0.57/bbl at $52.32/bbl.
The October Brent/WTI spread widened $2.59/bbl favoring Brent. Prompt natural gas futures were down 0.8 cents at $ 2.811 mmBtu. September NYMEX RBOB futures closed at $1.6448/gal, down 1.65 cpg.
September gasoline differentials were stronger versus Tuesday’s levels.
A2 CBOB 87 regular was higher at 9.25 cpg under the screen.
BOB 87 was up at 4.50 cpg under the screen.
2 CBOB 93 premium rose to at 9.75 cpg over the screen.
BOB 93 was up at 14.75 cpg over the screen.
BOB was stronger at 0.50 cpg under the screen.
he 3-2-1 crack in the Gulf Coast was $15.24 bbl, $4.45/bbl under the screen. – John Troland
