NYMEX Thursday Wrap: Crude, nat gas, gasoline rally
HOUSTON, August 17, 2017 (PCW) -- September NYMEX crude futures settled up $0.31/bbl to $47.09/bbl. October Brent at the close of the NYMEX increased $0.71/bbl at $50.93/bbl.
The October Brent/WTI spread widened to $3.69/bbl favoring Brent. Prompt natural gas futures were up 3.9 cents at $2.929/mmBtu. September NYMEX RBOB futures closed at $1.5869/gal, up 2.31 cpg.
September gasoline differentials were mostly softer versus Wednesday’s levels.
A2 CBOB 87 regular was steady at 9.50 cpg under the screen.
CBOB 87 was weaker at 6.50 cpg under the screen.
D2 CBOB 93 premium was down at 7.00 cpg over the screen.
CBOB 93 was lower at 9.50 cpg over the screen.
RBOB fell to 3.25 cpg under the screen.
The 3-2-1 crack in the Gulf Coast was $12.76/bbl, $6.73/bbl under the screen. -- John Troland
