NYMEX Thursday Wrap: Crude continues descent; nat gas plummets
HOUSTON, September 1, 2016 (PCW) — October NYMEX crude futures settled down $1.54/bbl to $43.16/bbl. November Brent at the close of the NYMEX decreased $1.48/bbl to $45.41/bbl.
The November Brent/WTI spread widened to $1.66/bbl favoring Brent. Prompt natural gas futures were down 9.5 cents at $2.792/mmBtu. October NYMEX RBOB futures closed at $1.2724 pg, down 6.10 cpg.
US Gulf cash gasoline differentials were stronger versus Wednesday’s levels.
A2 CBOB 87 regular was up at 0.50 cpg over the screen.
CBOB 87 was higher at 5.25 cpg over the screen.
D2 CBOB 93 premium was stronger at 12.25 cpg over the screen.
CBOB 93 rose to 17.00 cpg over the screen.
RBOB was higher at 0.25 cpg under the screen.
The 3-2-1 crack in the Gulf Coast was $9.57/bbl, $2.24/bbl under the screen. – John Troland
