NYMEX Monday Wrap: Crude opens week with slight gains; nat gas skyrockets
HOUSTON, September 12, 2016 (PCW) — October NYMEX crude futures settled up $0.41/bbl to $46.29/bbl. November Brent at the close of the NYMEX increased $0.26/bbl to $48.33/bbl.
The November Brent/WTI spread narrowed to $1.49/bbl favoring Brent. Prompt natural gas futures were up 11.8 cents at $2.915/mmBtu. October NYMEX RBOB futures closed at $1.3899/gal, up 2.88 cpg.
US Gulf cash gasoline differentials were weaker versus Friday’s levels.
A3 CBOB 87 regular was softer at 6.00 cpg under the screen.
CBOB 87 was lower at 5.75 cpg under the screen.
D3 CBOB 93 premium was down at 11.00 cpg over the screen.
CBOB 93 was weaker at 11.50 cpg over the screen.
RBOB was lower at 6.00 cpg under the screen.
The 3-2-1 crack in the Gulf Coast was $9.80/bbl, $3.01/bbl under the screen. – John Troland
