US nonfuel use propylene supplies slip for third straight week
HOUSTON, September 27, 2017 (PCW) -- US nonfuel use propylene inventories fell 50,000 bbls (1.6%) to 3.132 million bbls for the week of September 22, the Energy Department reported today. It was the third consecutive weekly inventory draw, and the fifth drop in ten weeks, according to the department's Energy Information Administration. Inventories are still 10% higher than four weeks earlier, when Hurricane Harvey made landfall. Gulf Coast refinery utilization continued a gradual recovery, rising 11.9 percentage points to 84.9% last week, compared with operating rates near 60% in the storm's aftermath.--David Barry
